Clean and Simple 100th Sketch

After doing a bit of blog hopping, I came across this great cleanandsimplestamping.blogspot   As you all know, I love CAS so had to play along with this great sketch - in fact, I liked it so much I made two cards:

his one is my favourite of the two.  A recent addition to my stamp collection have been the Party Ladies and Elegant Ladies by Creative Expressions. Two great sets of stamps I had to have after seeing them being demonstrated by Sheena Douglas on C&C.

I stamped the image straight onto white card first and then stamped her again onto the Pink Petticoat paper and paper pieced her outfit.  The sentiment is also from the set.

I used my Martha Stewart punch at the bottom of the card and added a piece of Pink Petticoat under it.  The strip across the top is from the same paper and I folder another strip to make a bow and added a Do-Craft pearl embellishment.

Oh! and one thing I forgot to mention - I HAVE DISCOVERED PRO-MARKERS! - I was determined I wasn't going to be tempted with these, especially after collecting the whole set of Prisma pencils, which I love to bits, but while Hobbycraft had their half price sale on I bought the Skin Tones and Skin Accents to try.  And, you've guessed, I love them too!!!!  So, I went and bought another six sets, aaaaahhhh.  Worse still, I ordered two more sets from Cowling and Wilcox yesterday as they also have them at half price and no p&p till 22nd August.  My addiction to my craft stash is running out of control..........I need help!
So, she has been coloured with Pro-markers.

Now to my next card - Stamped with Clarity Stamps image. I used Stained Glass Adirondack inkpad which is multi coloured, but this doesn't show up too well on the photo.  I also used clear embossing powder to give the image a nice gloss.  Again, I don't think this shows.  The sentiment is SU.   I used my Silhouette to cut the design at the bottom of the card and SU cardstock underneath.  The ribbon is from my stash.

Sorry it's been such a long post! Have a great weekend.X

Wow, two stunning cards Sue, although I have to say my favourite is the second. I love the flower swirl image and the striking colour you've used. As you know I too am a huge fan of CAS. Might have to use this sketch myself!
Have a great weekend!

I do love the retro lady but the elegance of the floral image is equally as appealing!

Oh these are both absolutely beautiful cards Sue! I love the elegance of the flower on the second one - but then again the top one is so elegant too! I probably just about prefer the top one becuase of the gorgeous ribbon detail and the beautiful border.

Oh there's no limit to the levels of addiction we can achieve with crafting supplies, is there?! I'm so pleased you're enjoying the Promarkers - you certainly did an amazing job with them on your imgae! I've tried them and didn't get great results with the shading - maybe it's just that I need more of them, eh?!x
