Less is More Week 273 Saints and Dragons or Heroes

The challenge for this week is as follows:

For some fun this week our recipe is to include

Saints, Dragons or Heroes.

St. George's Day takes place on April 23rd every year, recognising the patron saint of England, apparently made famous for slaying a dragon and saving a distressed maiden.
There are not usually many celebrations in honour of this day, so this will be our little salute!
You don't have to portray elements of this story, but whatever your imagination conjures up with this theme.
We would however like an explanation if your link is tenuous!
Just have fun!

And here's my card:

I don't have any stamps of dragons, saints or heroes so I found these fab digi stamps and took them into Serif and managed to make a group out of them.  The cake and flame are also digi stamps and I put the flame on top of the cake to look like those ditzy characters set it alight.  I coloured them with Prisma pencils (I've not had a play with them for ages so it was fun doing some colouring).  The sentiment was printed from the computer.  I recently bought some TODO basic square dies and they are great, brilliant sizes to mat and layer; they're bigger than the Spellbinder squares.

Less is More Challenge 272 - Three Stamps

The challenge this week from the Less is More team is 3 stamps.  You can use three different stamps or the same stamp stamped multiple times.

I've used three different stamps from two different Card-io stamp sets.  I love Card-io stamps and I have loads of their sets - more than any others.

I used the same flower stamp and stamped it in three different colours and then added the leaf stamp.  The watering can was inked in two different colours.  Because I'd used my quota of stamps I couldn't add a sentiment so I added a clay butterfly which I just swiped over with the same colour ink as one of the flowers to fill in the top corner.  I added some glossy accents to look like water coming from the can, but I'm not sure they show up particularly well on the photo.

Thanks for visiting today.

Less is More - Geometric Shapes

As promised, my second card for the Less is More Challenge - Geometric Shapes; I love this challenge.

I got the inspiration for this card from Pinterest but used the stamps I had in my stash.

The stencil is from Clarity Stamps and is called Jo's Bubbles.  I used a blue ink for it one way and then turned it and used a yellow ink.

The stamps are from Craftwork Cards - Only Words.

Very easy to do but so much fun.

Less is More week 271 - Geometric Shapes

I love the challenge the Less is More team have set this week:

The theme for this week's cards is
Geometric Shapes or Patterns

This has given me the opportunity to use my stencils, inks and stamps.  Here's my card:

It was such a quick and easy card to do.  I used a stencil from Imagination Crafts, the sentiment stamp is from Docrafts, the splodges from Laxmi Design (I'm not sure the company still exists - I bought this from the NEC many years ago when I began crafting) and the little butterfly is from an Imagination Crafts set which was designed by Lisa B.

I'm off to make another card - I have an idea what I want to do so I may be back later.

Thanks for visiting

CASology - Week 192: Sprout

Here's a card I made to join in with the CASology challenge for this week which is based on a spring theme and is called Sprout:

The stem stamp is from the Hobbycraft and the butterfly and sentiment are both Studio G and the stitches were done using a HOTP stamp.

Thank you for dropping by.

Less is More - White but not white

This week's challenge is to make a CAS card using a coloured card base as your white space.  Sorry my photo isn't great - it's very difficult to get a good picture when you've used foil or metallics.

I've used a lovely textured pink card for my base (from Anna Marie Designs) and my TODO rose die.  I hot foiled it using Papermania foils and added a Tattered Lace sentiment die (free members gift from C&C), also hot foiled and a butterfly from a punch I have with a bit of sheer ribbon from my stash to finish.

Thank you for dropping by.
