Katharina's Sketch

I liked this week's Papertake Weekly Challenge sketch from Katharina so much, I did another card with the same layout.

The papers have been downloaded from a digital scrapbooking site, I think they are gorgeous.

I stamped 'Winobella' onto the same background paper and cut out the dress, which was then layered onto my stamped image. I coloured her with watercolour pencils and added a few embellishments.

Well I'm going to have to put my crafting stuff away for now, my o/h and I are off on holiday tomorrow for a few days. We have booked into a hotel in Exmoor and for the first time we are going without the kids, how weird will that feel!

Much to our offsprings' amusement our holiday clothes shopping consisted of new walking boots and socks, and we are really chuffed with them (we really must be getting old). So that is the plan, lots of walking and sight seeing. Hope the weather holds up (I will be packing my kagool too, just in case). Bye for now.

Katharina's Sketch #7

Bit of a late entry for the papertakeweekly challenge.

The papers and image I've used for this card are from pinkpetticoat. I used a cuttlebug folder for the strip across the card and added some ribbon threaded through a buckle punch out. The image has been coloured using Prima's and the photo corners are punched from a Sizzix die.

The colours have come out a bit bright on the photo, the card and image are more of a darker blue. Anyway, hope you like it and thank you for visiting, I hope you'll stop by again.

Thinking of You

Here's another card made from my pinkcatstudio Cat Plate stamps. They're so cute, I love 'em. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the background, which has been mounted onto pink paper. I used Nestabilities dies to cut a large and small pink scalloped circle and two plain circles in white card. The cat image has been watercoloured with Faber Castell watercolour pencils. The dotty pink paper if from pinkpetticoat. The sentiment is a Studio D stamp.

Cute Card Thursday - Animals only, no people allowed.

cutecardthursday just so happens to have an animal only theme for the card challenge this week. Thought this would fit the bill.

I thought I would have loads of time for card making this week. Both girls away on holiday, yeah, the desk and computer all to myself, all afternoon for crafting, bliss. Anyway, how wrong I was. We've had a problem with SATs results coming back to school, so Tuesday because the Head wanted the results downloaded before I left and then today, it was Sports Day (I always do the scoring) I left work late again. Anyway, when I got home I was determined to make at least one card before the end of the week, so I got to work on this one. It is a Pink and Black theme, using a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the bottom of the card and a Pink Card Studio stamp as the focal image. I have added the 'purr-fect' sentiment, also from the same Plate of 'Cats' stamps and a couple of flowers from Joanne Sheen (I think they are called ' Floral Doodles'). The image was coloured with Prismas. I'm off to bed now, thank you for visting, I hope to have much more time for crafting when we break up from school next week. Night all.

Look at these lovely Goodies

Wow, look what lovely goodies I got today from karen.

Karen's daughter has her Graduation next week and asked if I would do an image swap with my Graduation Bella stamp to make her daughter's card. In return Karen sent me this beautiful pocket folder with lots of Panduro and Elzbells images tucked inside.
Thank you Karen for taking the time to make such a lovely little gift, I will keep it on show on my desk.

Congratulations to your daughter, I hope you have a great day at the graduation.

Another 'Elzybells'

I really do like these Elzybells stamps, they are so easy to use, they are simple and just don't need to much fuss. I used Prismas to colour the image and mounted it onto a cuttlebug embossed background. The sentiment is done on the computer and a couple of flowers finish it off.

Cute Card Thursday

Had a go at the cute card thursday challenge. I've used 'Robbie' from cuddlybuddly coloured with Faber Castell pencils. The paper is from Pink Petticoat, Big Dots, which is a real favourite at the moment. The sentiment was done on the computer and the fasteners cut out using Quickutz die.

Elzybells

Finally got my elzybells stamps. I've been waiting to get some for ages, and have been waiting patiently for the UK site to open. I love the simplicity of these designs, they really don't need overdoing with embellishments (in my opinion that is). I coloured the image using Faber Castell watercolour pencils and cut the shape with Nestabilities oval die. The background paper is Big Dots by pinkpetticoat. The sentiment was stamped using some HOTP stamps I had from a QVC TSV and the ribbon is from poppicrafts.

Friday Sketchers Challenge

Here is my first card for the Friday Sketchers Challenge. I have used HOTP papers for the background and Tilda stamp coloured with Faber Castell watercolour pencils. The swirly stamp is also by HOTP. I've added a punched flower and a few pearl beads to finish.
