The challengeupyourlife has a Vintage theme topic, so my clean and simple phase is over (for today anyway). Vintage is in for me this week!
I saw these stamps being demonstrated on Create and Craft a few weeks ago and just had to have them. They're by Creative Expressions and the set is called Wine Label.
This was a great opportunity to use my sadly neglected Distress inks. I used a combination of colours on a piece of white cardstock to ink the background. The wine bottle and glass were stamped first and then masked off to stamp the grapes and script. I just added a touch of colour with pencils to the grapes and wine in the glass. The design was then matted onto another piece of card which I also inked with the same colours and then mounted onto a cream 6x6 card.
I loved doing this card, I had such fun playing with the Distress inks, got my hands into a right old mess. Fab!

New Pad
My nephew has just moved into his new batchelor pad so I wanted to send him a bit of a fun card, and I think this fits the bill.
The image is from the digistampboutique and inspiration for the card came from Kerry.
I made the scalloped card with my Silhouette machine. The ginham paper is from Joanna Sheen which I've had for years and forgotten about till I was having a bit of a mooch through my stuff the other day.
The image has been coloured with Prismas and the sentiment was done with an alphabet set from Hero Arts.
I'm off now to give my plants a much needed drink and to enjoy the sunshine. Tats for now.x

Addy loves her tinis
Hi folks, hope you're having a great weekend. The weather has been lovely here in the Midlands up until about an hour again and now it's raining. At least we managed a lovely evening last night, watching the footie and then sitting in the garden at a friends house.
It was my friend Lynne's birthday yesterday so when I saw this Addy stamp from Stamping Bella I just had to have it for her. It fits her to a T.
Here's a little close up of her.
I use Prismas to colour the image in and again opted for the C&S style. I just layered the image onto a Nestie scalloped square. I just added some card candy from Craftwork cards. Hope you like it. X

Crazy for Cupcakes - Clean and Simple
Yep, I'm still in my Clean & Simple phase, as you can see!
Thanks to julie for her link to this blog http://simplicitybylateblossom.blogspot.com/, I really have got loads of inspiration from Susan's cards, her C&S is so elegant and tasteful.
For this card I used this great cupcake stand stamp from my SU Crazy for Cupcakes set. I've used my Prismas for colouring (don't those cakes just look stuffed full of E numbers!). The base was done by using my SU oval punch to make a template and I sponged Versacolour ink in Bisque and a bit of darker brown for shading. The sentiment stamp is also from same SU set. I mounted the main card onto a plain white C5 card using some foam pads.
Hope you like it. If you're interested in buying any SU stuff, I get mine from http://juliesjapes.blogspot.com/. Jules is really great to deal with and her blog is full of lovely cards made with SU items.
